MEET marc
Marc provides counseling and therapy with individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families as they address life’s many milestones such as marriage, divorce and parenting and the challenging moods, thoughts, emotions and conflicts that often accompany these milestones. Marc believes that people are also sometimes searching for a purpose in life, and that there are numerous, valid ways that counselors can help them strive for that purpose.
Marc is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counselor Education in 1992 both from North Carolina State University. He holds a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor (LCMHCS) license #S4423, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license #4423, National Certified Counselor (NCC) Certificate #76069, and School Counselor license.
He has been working with children (ages 3-12), adolescents (ages 13-20), their families (adults) and couples for over 30 years in numerous settings. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, grandson of a Pentecostal Pastor, Trucking Company Owner, Nurse and 1st Lady; Marc embodies their love and seeks to share his experiences and education with others. He just recently returned from a Kizomba and Semba dance cultural immersion trip through Lisbon, Portugal and Luanda, Angola in which he now incorporates into his counseling and therapeutic practice. He teaches individuals and couples dance as a healthy and therapeutic way to express emotion and rekindle connection. He believes in the African philosophy of Ubuntu which is the motto of his company, "I am because We are; because We are, therefore, I am".
