  • Where Your Words Take the Spotlight! Step into a space where creativity flows and voices are heard. This interactive workshop helps participants take their written words from the page to the stage, building confidence, memorization skills, and performance flair. Bring your poetry or spoken-word piece, practice, and perform in a supportive, unplugged setting that highlights your voice and expression. Why You Should Attend: ● Practical techniques for memorization and improving recall ● Engaging exercises to strengthen retention and performance skills ● Opportunity to practice and perform pieces in a supportive open-mic setting
  • ● Bring your unmemorized pieces (if you have one)
  • Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to confidently commit their work to memory and deliver it with impact, truly bringing it from the page to the stage. Registration Information: After purchasing a ticket, you’ll receive a Zoom link and passcode by email. Please make sure your email, phone number, and Zoom name match the information used to buy your ticket. If the names don’t match, you won’t be able to join the event.

What is Deuce the Poet's Underground Mocha Room: Unplugged? It is more than a virtual event, it’s a feeling. It’s that warm, low-lit space where creativity breathes and voices are heard without pressure or pretense. A place where you can set the noise of the world aside, hold your words close, and finally let them live out loud. 
DeuceThePoet is an accomplished Spoken word artist, song writer, pianist, Emcee, and a half of the DrumBo production Team with Silk on Da Track. As a native of New Orleans, DeuceThePoet has represented his city in national slam competitions such as HBO's Brave New Voices, and Southern Fried Poetry Slam competition as a member of New Orleans Youth Slam team and the adult slam team, New Orleans Slam. 
Deuce has hosted many long-lasting events in the City of New Orleans such as, "Speak Sunday's", “Best in the Room Poetry slam competition”, “Neutral Grounds Open mic”, and the "Underground Mocha Room". DeuceThePoet has been performing spoken word for over 15 years spreading depth and soul across the globe as a proud representative of the city of New Orleans.
