stephen

Stephen Michael Niewind, frontman of Incoming Rush, has been singing since the age of five and he’s never stopped. His career has carried him through choirs, youth groups, Nashville stages, and even the legendary Grand Ole Opry, where he once opened for Vince Gill. Along the way, he’s played everywhere from church concerts to rock shows, and even shared a bill with Kyle Gass of Tenacious D. Though his music isn’t on Spotify or iTunes, it has still found its way around the world—through ReverbNation, vinyl pressings in London, and personal YouTube uploads from friends and collaborators. Some of those videos now serve as priceless reminders of friendships and a lifelong commitment to music. After returning to the Valley to care for family, Stephen continues to create, perform, and support fellow musicians. His most recent moment was at the Micro Music Festival at the House of Blues Anaheim on Friday, June 27th, 2025. For Stephen, it’s more than just another gig. “This was my first time as a local artist from Clovis, Fresno... to go and play at this major event,” he said. Equipped with his guitar, a rock-infused acoustic sound, and decades of experience, Stephen is ready to make the most of this showcase. It’s proof that after a lifetime of chasing music, he’s still finding new stages and new ways to share his voice.
